BIHAR ECONOMIC SURVEY- CONCEPT OF ENERGY GENERATION AND MANAGEMENT:
NOTE: THE SOURCE OF DISCUSSION IS BASED ON BIHAR ECONOMIC SURVEY AND BUDGET.
Every one knows that energy is a vital for overall development of any country or a region. this is because power is requirement for all, non- agricultural and agricultural activities. bihar has taken various measures in the field of energy for capacity addition, improving transmission and distribution network, and energy conservation to improve supply position. state govt. made "HAR GHAR BIJLI" resolves targeted to achieve it by december 2018.
There will be a quantum of jump in power demands in state in comming year, mainly due to large scale release of service connection in rural areas towards full electrification, substantial increase in agriculture consumers, and rise in demands of existing consumers. Bihar state electricity board was mandated for the management of electricity generation, transmission, and distribution etc.
Substantial improvement in power situation in state is due to the measure taken by the government in areas such as reducing transmission and distribution losses, and staggering of loads to 24 hrs. of the day

- Deen dayal upadhyaya gram jyoti yojana- separation of agricultural and non agricultural feeders, strengthening and augmentation of sub-transmission and distribution infrastructure in rural areas, and rural electrification target.
